Ladies in the automobile are identified on the back of the postcard as Ells Chandler, Bertha Dexter, Grace Pike, and Crisse Tanner. The Postcard is addressed to Evelyn Brooks; it is not clear if it was ever sent. 1904 is written on the corner and has been changed to read 1914. The card is printed with the phrase "Genuine Photograph by R. C. White Farmington, N.H."

The opening text reads:

FARM1NGT0N HIGH SCHOOL
DEDICATION
AUGUST 25, 1996

This date was the culmination of
just over two years of eager
anticipation beginning July 18,
1994.

It was on that date that James
and Beulah Thayer proposed their
generous donation to a very
surprised School Board.
Their gift, coupled with State
Aid, the sale of bonds, and voter
approval, started the beginning of
the dream of a new high school.
That dream is now a reality.

Good luck to all the students for a
great school year!!
