1908 Knights Of Pythias Block & Farmington Bank Central Postcard
A 1908 colorized postacard featuring the three story Knights of Pythias Block and two story, with full attic, Farmington Bank located close to the juncture of Main Street and Central Streets. Electric lines and poles can been seen and partial views of carts are seen in the street. The first floor of the Pythian Block was inhabited by a sweet shop on the left and a full service movie house on the right. Advertising can be seen on the wallls and on a-frame sandwhich boards ouside the first floor.<br /><br />The back of the card is used and has an adressee, Mr. A.D. Hifield and Farmington, NH adresss and a note that says: <br /><br /><em>"Friend Dean, I will send this card to remember me in RO. Will be up Wednesday night on the last train if nothing happens. Color Central House Souvenir Postcard
A yellow-green colorized Central House souvenir postcard with a view of the front and side of the house. The house is three stories, with the lower floors covered with open porches on the left and front of the house, with low balustrades. Three, tall chimneys can be seen atop the house. A house to the right can also be seen as well as what appears to be a garage in the back of the left driveway. An empty single horse carriage is waiting out front of the Central House and two people stand by it to the left. Another person is on the porch. Distinguishing features of the people are difficult to discern.

Early 20th Century Roberts-Peavey-Osgood Drugstore Advertising
Marketing and advertising from the early 20th Century for the Roberts-Peavey-Osgood drugstore in downtown Farmington. One item is a photo postcard from the Farmington postcard collection. It accounts the opening of the Odd Fellows Hall in 1896, where the Roberts drugstore stood. In 1953 the drugstore was sold to Twink Osgood.
