The dedication for the new addition of the Goodwin Library was held on April 6th. The program speakers included, Rev. H. Franklin Parker,Rtvv. Uel Gardner, Rev. John Scruton and Robert M. Aiken. Each took the time to express pride in being involved in this vital project which is beneficial to the community. There were many guests in attendance, and the enthusiasm was high among all.

The new addition consists of a children's room on the main level and a meeting room on the lower level. The children's room has an area for the younger ones to open books to new worlds by reading or simply looking at the pictures! On the opposite end of the room is a teenage study area for the serious of studies or the inquisitive reader. The spacious, light and airy room is the perfect atmosphere for our younger townspeople. The lower level is also a large, bright room with the look of definite pride and personal integrity, which reflects the community's personality. The new addition is a great accomplishment and a beautiful plus to the original building . If you missed out on the open house, please take the time to see the new library and make use of its wonderful selections.

These photos are stored together. They are from different periods of time. Last pulled together for possible use in May 1986.
