Shackford.  &quot;Shackford&quot; and &quot;Farmington&quot; appear on the lower portion of the front of the photo card, in script. The card has a scalloped edge around the entire edge. The card  has a rolled paper effect embedded directly around the image of the woman. The back of the photograph card has many decorations. A decorative edge of vines surrounds a lion crest and a shield on a patterned back. The shield has the  words: &quot; Instantaneous process used exclusively, artistic, A. W. Shackford, photography Farmington, NH. Below the shield are the words: &quot; duplicates  can be made at any time.&quot; <br />

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[A brown-green colorized  postcard of the Roosevelt House, also known as the &quot;Farmington Inn.&quot; The souvenir postcard has a view of the front and side of the house, with a brick facade, which was located on Central Street. The house is three stories, with only  the lower first floor covered with an open porch, with stairs in front and to the right side, with low balustrades. Chairs line the porch. Three, tall chimneys can be seen atop the house. A house to the left can also be seen. A sign on pole which reads &quot; Roosevelt House,&quot; stands out front, center. A few trees can also be seen. A small side porch is located on the right side and resembles the front porch.<br />

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Two souvenir postcards showing the same view of South Main Street, on the bend, facing south. One colorized &amp; one black &amp; white postcard labeled as&quot; South Main Street, Farmington NH. &quot; The photo seems to be taken, on the street, between the Eastman and Edgerly houses.  A fence,  electric poles, a lamp, and hydrants can be see in the foreground to mid ground. Trees in various stages of growth are also present. Most notably the side of the  J.F. Cloutman Shoe Factory building can be seen in the middle ground, to the left. All four stories can be seen and the sloped roof and a large chimney can be seen. A fire in 1918 will all but destroy this building and it will be replaced in 1919.<br />

An electrical pole can also be seen in front of the building.<br />

The front of the brick church(founded in 1848)  can be seen as well as part of the north side of the building. The steeple is fully visible, as are two sides of the &quot;Town Clock&quot; residing in the steeple. Some of the stained glass windows can also be seen. Three cars can be seen in the foreground, as can electric lines and an electric pole. Three women, not facing the camera, can been seen walking in front of the church. Trees and shrubs can be seen behind and beside the church.<br />
