Mary Elizabeth Gladding
October 28, 1968 - August 01, 2021
On Sunday, August 1st 2021, Mary Elizabeth Gladding (Grundner) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on October 28, 1968 to Ruth (Magill) Grundner in Newport, Rhode Island. She loved her childhood on “the Rock” known to others as Jamestown, Rhode Island. As a volunteer on Jamestown Ambulance she met and fell in love with her soulmate, Rick Gladding. On November 4, 1989 the two were wed and soon welcomed their daughters, Catherine Gladding (m. Taruc) and Christina Gladding.
Mary was a fun-loving, free spirit who was passionate about serving her community and bringing joy to all those around her. She loved her time involved with the Jamestown Ambulance, Farmington Fire/Rescue, First Congregational Church, Special Olympics and many more community organizations. Mary was always the life of the party, made everyone feel welcome & loved and spread joy through her infectious laugh.
Mary is survived by her husband, Rick Gladding; daughter and daughter-in-law Catherine and Wynell Taruc; daughter Christina Gladding; mother Ruth Grundner; brothers Michael, Erich and James Grundner and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Congregational Church of Farmington on Saturday, August 14th at 1pm and a grave-side service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Jamestown, RI on August 15th at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to the First Congregational Church of Farmington: 400 Main Street Farmington, NH 03835.
