Sabine Home Charles Street Black & White Souvenir Postcard Farmington NH
Title
Sabine Home Charles Street Black & White Souvenir Postcard Farmington NH
Description
A black & white souvenir postcard of the Sabine home on Charles Street in Farmington, NH. A typical New Englander, The Sabine home was two full stories, plus the attic space. The building has a small covered front entrance and two bay windows, one over another, in the front right. There is a single window, which is covered, in the attic floor and it is unknown if this was used for storage or sleeping space. The side of the house offers many windows and a side entrance via a covered open porch and further back covered screened porch. Detail work, beams, fretwork, and decorative shingles all appear to be in very good condition and well maintained. The house has two chimneys. The house also has a three story, attached, carriage house to the right. Flowers, shrubs and other plantings pepper the front and side yard. A young girl, wearing a dress, stands on the top step of the side porch looking toward the camera.
